Perfect Day

The weather is beautiful today, couldn't be more perfect. THIS IS why I love California!
We met this amazing man playng baseball at Cornerstone last year. His grandson Jon was on the team but graduated last year and we miss him ALOT! Bill and Jane came to almost every game, cheered loud for the boys and was a joy to be around! Since the boys have started basketball we have taken advantage of Grandpa Bill and his basketball coaching skills. He meets with the boys weekly to help them learn the game they have never played before. We love him for giving of his time to us! He is a special Grandpa!

Nolan's Bday

We spent the afternoon with our friend Nolan to celebrate his birthday!

We took the kids ice skating, we started off at the seasonal outdoor rink in thousand oaks but once there we realized they could round the rink in 2 seconds flat and that would get old really quick. This nice kid was sitting nearby and heard us talking and suggested the rink in Simi. We figured they hired him to sit on the bench and get people to go to their rink instead. :)

It was much larger but it was now indoors and VERY cold and we hadn't dressed for that. Oh well.

We then took the kids to Fuddruckers for dinner. Nolan got the 1lb burger and ate the whole thing!

Thanksgiving Weekend

Ok, so this was our weekend.......

We started it off by meeting friends at the park and the boys played football and ate bagels and muffins, we then headed to Orange County to have Thanksgiving dinner at my sisters. We had 2 turkeys, one 25 pounds and another. My sister slaved over dinner all day. It was an awesome meal. We then headed back home around 8PM Thursday.
Friday we had 23 people at our house, the boys played paintball on base and the girls went shopping. Yep, not the smartest thing to do the day after Thansgiving especially at the Camarillo Outlet mall but we got so lucky with a parking spot and then we only went in the stores without the long lines. Friday night all the boys stayed the night, sleeping in our trailer, our friends motorhome and on the living room floor. Saturday we met friends again with all our family at the park to play ultimate frisbee and football. We had about 35 people, it was great. Then our family headed back home to Orange County and our friends and us ran to Hueneme for a free movie and saw Eagle Eye. Sunday the boys went with their friends to the LA car show and I went with friends to a Glendale theater to see "A Christmas Carol". WE HAD A GREAT WEEKEND!!!
